摘要	This paper presents the design and implementation of a Knowledge Grid operating language and the programming environment KGOL. It provides not only a friendly user interface for end-users to easily access and manage the Knowledge Grid resources but also a programming environment for application developers to implement the Knowledge Grid applications. The KGOL programming environment consists of a parser, an interpreter, an execution engine, and a result generator. Comparisons between the KGOL, the SQL, and the XML-based query languages XQL and LOREL show the distinguished advantages of the KGOL.
