Fast and accurate determination of the spatial boundary of IFS attractors

摘要Iterated Function System (IFS) is an important branch of fractal theory and application. There has not been an effective method to find a given IFS attractor boundary. This paper gives some concepts about Inner Boundary and Inner Splitting Map, and then puts forward "Inner Boundary Filter" algorithm for fast and accurate determination of the spatial boundary of IFS attractor. The algorithm can reach any given precision, with less computing resources. The open problem inherent in IFS theory and application is thus resolved. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd.
